Amitabh Chattoraj

Amitabh Chattoraj is a professional with 41 years of rich and varied experience in Banking and Learning & Development. His first 25-year stint was in the State Bank of India and the remaining 15 years in the Learning and Development (BFSI). Amitabh has worked for more than a decade as Branch Head in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. One of his biggest achievements in his career was to convert a hard-core loss-incurred branch into a profit-making one in a period of two years. As an Administrative Secretary to the Zonal Head, his span of control was 190 branches. During the last 2 years of his banking career, he served as a Regional Head of HR.

Amitabh’s total classroom delivery is more than fifteen thousand hours. He conducted interviews with more than a hundred faculties to check suitability for the training of budding bankers in the BFSI sector. He led a team that trained and placed more than five thousand freshers to start their careers in the BFSI sector. He did numerous corporate training programs for Public Sector Banks, Private Sector Banks, Small Finance Banks, NBFCs, Financial Services Companies and Insurance Companies.The majority of these training sessions were imparted for leadership development. He was involved in framing the curriculum for the MBA Banking Course at Symbiosis International University Pune.
